Footvolley, a blend of soccer technique and volleyball rules, is gaining momentum worldwide. Originating in Brazil, the sport has begun carving out a community on the Los Angeles beaches, attracting longtime soccer players, beach-goers and newcomers looking for a fresh challenge.
Julianne Braga, JB Footvolley Academy coach, and some participants shared their perspectives on the sport’s rapid growth, its appeal, and how it is shaping a new kind of beach culture.
