DTLA saw thousands of demonstrators for second ‘No Kings’ protest

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (BTVN) — In downtown Los Angeles, thousands of protestors marched across the city during the second No Kings Day protests against Donald Trump’s administration and its policies. This was happening as millions of Americans took to the streets across the United States to protest the president’s actions in his first year in office.

The march started off on Spring Street in front of LA City Hall before protestors made their way up First Street, across Grand Avenue, then down on Cesar Estrada Chavez Avenue, eventually making their way back in front of city hall in one loop.

The No Kings Day protest in LA was mostly peaceful during the day, with the only incidents with the Los Angeles Police Department happening at night after the march ended. These incidents took place in front of the Metropolitan Detention Center on the corner of Alameda and Aliso streets. There a LAPD cruiser ran through a crowd of protesters hurting one individual and the police forcibly dispersed the crowd after the LAPD declared the protest in front of the center unlawful according to reports by LA Taco.
