Helicopter crashes in front of Hyatt Regency Hotel in Huntington Beach

Video footage of the crash shows the helicopter descending and suddenly swerving back and forth. It then loses control and descends onto the trees in front of the bridge near the Hyatt. 

Two people were inside the vehicle at the time and three people on the ground were injured by the crash. All five were taken to the hospital.

Authorities are currently investigating the crash

Huntington Beach Public Affairs Manager Corbin Carson confirmed that the helicopter was involved with the Cars N’ Copters show that is planned to take place on Sunday, Oct. 12. The event will still take place as scheduled.
