HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Oct. 11 (BTVN) — Five people were hospitalized after a helicopter crashed in front of the Hyatt Hotel in Huntington Beach.
Video footage of the crash shows the helicopter descending and suddenly swerving back and forth. It then loses control and descends onto the trees in front of the bridge near the Hyatt.
Two people were inside the vehicle at the time and three people on the ground were injured by the crash.
Authorities are currently investigating the crash. Huntington Beach Public Affairs Manager Corbin Carson confirmed that the helicopter was involved with the Cars N’ Copters show that is planned to take place tomorrow on Sunday, Oct. 12. It is unclear at this time if the event will still take place.
