LOS ANGELES– A bittersweet feeling loomed over Dodger Stadium as baseball legend Clayton Kershaw played his final home start of the regular season.
His final home start took place on Sept. 19 ending in a 6-3 victory against the San Francisco Giants.
After 18 years, two World Series titles, and a Cy Young Award, Kershaw and the Dodgers took to Instagram to announce the news of his retirement.
The sold-out game was a nail-biter, with Kershaw throwing his last pitch during the fifth inning. This win secured the Dodgers a Wild Card spot for the 2025 MLB Post Season.
Kershaw will continue playing with the Dodgers throughout October and will retire officially at the end of the season.
