MALAYSIA– On March 8, 2014 Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 vanished without a trace, Malaysia has embarked on yet another mission to find the missing aircraft in what is widely considered on the greatest aviation mysteries in history. The flight, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing carried  239 people on board from 15 different countries, disappeared with many families still searching answers to this day.

The flight deviated from it’s original path before losing radar signal in the middle of the Indian Ocean as many of have speculated what happened to the plane but each search thus far has lead to no answers.

Now as the 10 year mark of the tragedy approaches, Malaysia’s possible renewed search effort can reignite some hopes of finding answers and closure for the families of the victims despite numerous failed attempts already to find the wreckage.

Malaysia is now considering opening another search after a private research company based in Texas called ‘Ocean Infinity’ has approached government officials with new evidence in finding the Boeing 777.

As of right now, there are no details in what evidence they found to provoke another search.

However, according to the Malaysian Ministry of Transport, they “are ready to invite Ocean Infinity to Malaysia to discuss the proposal of a no-fine, no-fee proposal,” the statement said. “We are waiting for Ocean Infinity to provide the suitable dates, and I will meet them any time that they are ready to come to Malaysia.”

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and expertise in underwater exploration, Ocean Infinity aims to scour the southern Indian Ocean, where MH370 is believed to have crashed.

The CEO of Ocean Infinity, Oliver Plunkett stated “we have focused on driving the transformation of operations at sea; innovating with technology and robotics to further advance our ocean search capabilities.

The search area spans thousands of square kilometers of rugged and remote ocean terrain, presenting significant challenges to the search team. Despite the daunting task ahead, Malaysian authorities and Ocean Infinity remain optimistic about the prospects of success.

However, skepticism looms large since previous search efforts, including an extensive underwater search conducted by Australia, China, and Malaysia, yielded no conclusive results.

For the families of the passengers and crew members who vanished with MH370, the renewed search offers a glimmer of hope amidst years of anguish and uncertainty. Many have tirelessly campaigned for continued efforts to find the aircraft and uncover the truth behind its disappearance.

As Malaysia embarks on this latest search mission, the eyes of the world are once again focused on the mystery of MH370. While the chances of success may be slim, the quest for answers continues.
